Restylane® and Perlane Rejuvenates lines, wrinkles and folds

Restylane and Perlane are treatments we use to smooth wrinkles, enhance lips and shape facial contours. These are clear, synthetic gels made of hyaluronic acid (HA). HA is a molecule that occurs naturally throughout the body and is the substance that holds moisture in you skin. HA is the natural component of your skin that gives it fullness and body. We use it to replace the tissue lost due to age, muscle actions, sun exposure and scarring.
The most common areas for treatment are the nasolabial folds, lips, cheeks and chin. We also find it dramatically helpful for dark circles under the eyes. With its unique ability to bind with water, Restylane and Perlane provide an immediate and long-lasting improvement. In addition medical studies have proven these really do stimulated the formation of new collagen to replace that which was lost. This is a very safe treatment and our patients have been very happy with the results they’ve obtained with Restylane and Perlane.

It is commonly use for the nasolabial folds, marionette lines, chin, and mental crease. We also use it to enhance the cheekbones and do all these to give you a more youthful appearance. This provides an immediate and long-lasting correction in these areas and stimulates your body to from new collagen. We have been very pleased with the dramatic results and our patients have been very happy with their improvement.
Megapeel Medical Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion improves mild to moderate sun damage, scarring and wrinkles. It evens skin color and freshens skin tone. A gentle stream of tiny particles exfoliates the outer layer of skin and provides a fresh, glowing, younger appearance. The particles scrape away the surface layer of aging or damaged skin, which is then brushed off with the microdermabrasion vacuum tool with no need for anesthesia. Only a small amount of skin is removed, so sensitive areas such as the face, chest, neck, arms and hands can be treated.
Microdermabrasion is often performed in conjunction with other skin renewal procedures, such as laser treatment and chemical peels. Multiple treatments are recommended for full effect.
Gentle Chemical Peels
Chemical peels remove damaged outer layers of skin on the face to smooth texture, reduce scarring, even skin color, and remove blemishes so your skin has a healthier glow. We tailor peel formulas and strengths for each patient. Peels can be combined with other procedures such as facelifts for a younger look. They may be covered by insurance if they are performed for medical rather than cosmetic reasons.
Sunspots
Repeated exposure to sunlight, especially ultraviolet light, can cause a variety of cosmetic and medical problems in our skin. These include telangiectasia (red or purple “spider veins”), uneven pigmentation, lines and wrinkles, thinning of skin, loss of skin elasticity, and melanoma and other skin cancers. The damage our skin suffers from sunlight is cumulative and often gradual, so the effects appear as we age and worsen with time.
Adequate protection from the sun and avoidance of other sources of ultraviolet light such as tanning salons are an important part of preventing this damage. However, there are ways to cosmetically improve damage that has already occurred. Our office offers PhotoRejuvenation to reduce the appearance of uneven pigmentation, spider veins and other vascular lesions. Chemical peels and microdermabrasion remove the surface layer of skin to expose a fresh, healthier, younger-looking layer beneath. We often use a combination of treatments for a more effective result.
Leg Veins
Spider veins, or telangiectasias, are small, thin, blood vessels visible beneath the skin. They appear most commonly on the face and legs and may look like a series of lines, tree branches, or a spider- or web-like shape with a dark center. It is estimated that they affect nearly half of adult women in the U.S.
Spider veins are caused by a variety of factors, including heredity, pregnancy (and other conditions that involve changes in hormone levels), weight gain, long periods of standing, and certain medications. They often appear red or blue, and because they form on the thighs, calves and ankles, many patients are bothered by the way they look. The standard treatments for spider veins are sclerotherapy and laser treatments.
