Contour Threadlifts™

For patients who desire a younger appearance of the mid-face, brow and neck without undergoing a full facelift, a new minimally invasive procedure is available. FDA-approved Contour Threads™ are thin, flexible sutures that are threaded underneath the skin to rejuvenate sagging eyebrows, cheeks, and neck. When the threads are pulled gently, tiny barbs lift the sagging tissue into a subtly higher, more youthful position that reflects the patient’s natural facial contours. The sutures are left in place to maintain the effects, which are further enhanced and supported over time as the body produces natural collagen and elastin fibers around the threads. The entire procedure is done using local anesthesia.

Browlift

Browlifts can revitalize drooping or lined foreheads, helping you to look less angry, sad or tired. Using either open excisions or by suspension sutures, the eyebrows are raised to smooth the lines and give a more youthful appearance. The procedure is often combined with other operations such as blepharoplasty and facelifts to improve the look of the eyes and other areas of the face.

Eyelids / Bags / Crows Feet

Blepharoplasty can rejuvenate puffy, sagging or tired-looking eyes by removing excess fat, skin and muscle from the upper and lower eyelids. It may be performed for cosmetic reasons or to improve sight by lifting droopy eyelids out of the patient's field of vision. We perform the procedure in our office under local anesthesia. Blepharoplasty can be combined with a facelift or Botox® treatments to raise the eyebrows or reduce the appearance of wrinkles, crow's feet or dark circles under the eyes.

Neck Lift

We offer neck lifts to tighten loose skin in the neck and remove excess fat. A less invasive alternative to a facelift, the procedure can produce dramatic results in the patient whose chin and/or neck has sagged with age or after weight loss.

Skin Cancer

Skin cancer refers to the abnormal, uncontrolled growth of skin cells. The most common skin cancers are basal cell carcinoma (affecting cells in the lowest layer of the epidermis) and squamous cell carcinoma (affecting cells in the middle layer of the epidermis). A rarer but more dangerous skin cancer is melanoma, the leading cause of death from skin disease. Risk factors for developing skin cancer include pale skin, family history of melanoma, being over 40 years old, and regular sun exposure. Skin cancers vary in shape, color, size and texture, so any new, changed or otherwise suspicious growths should be examined immediately by your dermatologist. Early intervention is essential to preventing the cancer from enlarging or spreading.

Removal of Moles, Cysts, Growths

Moles are generally pigmented spots or patches of skin that can vary in color.  Though most moles are harmless, some can develop into Melanoma, a very serious form of skin cancer.  Moles exhibiting any of the following warning signs should be examined by your dermatologist:

• Asymmetry
• Border Irregularity
• Color Variation
• Diameter greater than a pencil eraser
• Itches or bleeds
• Rapid changes in color, size or shape
